We were already unpacked and he didn't seem to care, he said no one was there to fix anything. Moved rooms to take a shower in room number 2 and the bathroom bath mat was dirty, we used a towel cus the bath mat was that dirty, the shower wall had black curly hair stuck to it. Called front desk three times, no answer. Went to front desk no one there. ...

"We stayed for our 34th anniversary 2 days ago and found Lisa and her mother lovely, accommodating, and pleasant. Lisa had come from Colorado and had only been the owner about 2 months but one would never know that. It was perfect! They even allowed our Colorado daughter ( who was attending her 25th u of va reunion) to have brunch with us the morning we left. Hot tub, jacuzzi, beautiful room, friendly and helpful owner…. What was there not to like? Ty, Lisa! We shall be back!"

"The English Inn has an old English feel. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was buffet was super each day I was there (4 days). From 4-6pm each day there is tea and fresh baked cookies. I took a day trip to Monticello (Thomas Jefferson's home) and enjoyed it immensely. The Inn is located near many shops, grocery stores, and the University of Virginia where my granddaughter was attending a swim camp. I would definitely stay there again."

"The Inn is filled with charm and warmth. Felt like I was in someone’s home. Our suite was on the 2nd floor, and was spacious, bright and clean. The bed was super comfortable. Well located to walk to restaurants. Jake the manager was friendly and always available to answer questions. Free parking was a great addition to an easy and enjoyable stay."

"We stayed here for one night for a graduation at UVA. The hotel is not too far a drive from campus, so it is a convenient location. The rooms were cozy and clean, and the AC worked great, so you could adjust the room temperature however you desired. The bathrooms were clean and had hygiene products you could use if you forgot to bring them. They have a small gym next to the pool that we did not use.
