"Staff upgraded us to a Penthouse suite when we realized that the beds in the standard rooms were only Queen size beds. Standard room looks more like an apartment and bedroom was small with no TV in the room. Penthouse suite was beautiful though"

"This is in a great location. Right near a go station or even the street car that runs west to east along lakeshore boulevard and queen street. Highly recommend checking out port credit to the west for a night out as well as some of the food in Lakeview as well around the hotel."

"I've stayed at this property before - it gets the job done at a very reasonable price. Includes parking, and the location is conveniently located near the major highways and TTC bus routes that can take you to the subway system or to the GO station nearby."

"The heater/air conditioner was very loud and interferred with sleeping. Also, the television wasn't working properly, the audio and video went in and out regularly. But when I shared that with the front desk I was disappointed that they said it's a known problem there in the whole property. My concern is that they seemed to be nonchalant when I told them, didn't apologize, in any way, and didn't say that they were talking actions to resolve it. "

"Westlake Hotel is a hidden gem in Toronto. The property is so clean and their attention to detail was impressive. Because of their diligence in maintaining the property, I felt safe and very comfortable staying the Westlake. A definite return!"

"We had a great experience that very easily could have gone very bad. Our room we had booked was no longer available when we arrived. We got in at 2am from a flight with 3 young children, so heading out room wasn't available was hard. The lady at the desk was very kind and offered us 2 different options for different rooms at no extra charge and we received a complimentary breakfast for us all the next morning for our troubles. What stood out to me is the Manager in charge is always there to help out guests and his staff and always has a smile on his face. My room was equipped with a stove, sink, microwave, dishwasher, and minifridge/freezer, so it's a great travel option for families. The hotel is within 8- minutes drive of Pearson Airport; however, the hotel does offer a free airport shuttle for guests (with adequate notice, of course). "Staff are amazing but the manager in the back office was just the opposite. He loves giving inconsistent and contradictory orders to staff."

"Clean room , clean hotel , friendly staff .breakfast was on the cold side , travel back and forth to train gets costly ( I thought it was free shuttle) not just day your flight comes and leaves . Snacks are stupid expensive at the hotel , i understand its a Hotel but come on $10 bucks for big bag of chips is robbery , nothing is within walking distance . The train getting to union station is a plus . Overall not bad but probably wouldn't stay again"
