"Kudos to the people who rescued an historic building in Buchanan, creating an attractive boutique hotel. The common spaces and rooms are clean, modern and of good size. The hotel's restaurant, McCollum's, is good but not exceptional, but realize that it is one of the only dinner choices in Buchanan. The only drawback is that the sound insulation to certain rooms is not adequate for the very popular Friday and Saturday evenings when the bar and restaurant are very busy. Still, I would recommend The Grant to anyone visiting Buchanan or the surrounding area."

"Spacious lobby area for hanging out. Have stayed here multiple times, and plan to again. My only disappointment is the quality of the cooked foods (eggs, meats) for breakfast. Could be improved "

"Beautiful place for retreat or a getaway if you like countryside . River st joe and forest with good hotel facility .the breakfast is excellent and the breakfast area overlooks the river - very tranquil !!! They also have a separate gym close to the check in area ."

"The only problem I had was the bathroom sink didn't have a plug and it didn't drain properly. Clearly the drain was plugged. Also, someone had broken the outlet on the bathroom wall. I tried pushing in the GFI button but it wouldn't move. The whole outlet pulled out from the wall. Someone had mistreated it and broken it. I was only there for a night, but had I stayed longer, I would have asked for a room change."
