"I left my heart in Talalla Retreat. Incredible staff who were so welcoming and hard working, the Retreat itself is stunning. I had an upstairs bedroom so was able to fully enjoy the surroundings. "This is the 3rd time that I am returning to Halcyon. It really is the best hotel on Mawella beach (and maybe even in whole of southern province :) The hotel is beautifully and tastefully decorated, the staff are super friendly, including owner Xander, it's absolutely right on the beach , the food is great. "Overall stay was good. However, the bathrooms are visible inside the room. Not recommended for a family to stay inside the room. "Very friendly family service. Great location for beach - 2-3 min walk. Lots of great restaurants around, especially on beach. Next to road, so easy to get tuktuk.
