"We stayed here just as a stop over and it was a very small and low double bed in a huge room. It wasnt the cleanest so I was glad I had slippers with me. Shower ceiling was too low for a 6'2 person so my partner had to crouch. The main parts of the hotel looked nice on arrival, but we didnt make use of it. Nice and quiet despite the location."

"Fantastic stopover on trip down south . Recently refurbished with great food and exceptional staff. Room was a tad small however this was balanced with cleanliness and really nice toiletries. "Wonderful overnight stay with our springer spaniel . Lovely clean and spacious dog friendly room in the Annex with a fabulous view . Set in wonderful grounds with lovely outdoor areas and enjoyed a great circular walk down to the river. All staff were so friendly and the steak for the evening meal was cooked perfectly as was the very generous breakfast . Definitely be back"

"We booked 2 junior suites, room 228 was very nice and matched what was advertised on the website. Unfortunately room 117 was less satisfactory, 2 rooms on different levels had been knocked together to form a 'suite' with 2 bathrooms a very small bedroom and remote equally small sitting area. Nice view of the bin store from the window resulting in plenty of clattering as bins were deposited there. Breakfast was fine and the staff were very nice."
