"Look elsewhere in Truckee. The property suffers from poor upkeep and broken facilities that clearly aren't being maintained. When we brought up these issues, staff and management refused to communicate or take any accountability. Total lack of basic customer service. Save yourself the headache and book somewhere else."

"The biggest complaint that we had was the room was extremely hot and undesirable. We were provided with just a tiny fan that didn't do anything to cool it down. Both of us were up all night and unfortunately didn't get any rest. We had a very long drive ahead of us the next morning so it was a bummer. The room also felt stark. It would be cozier with some sort of area rug on the bare floors."

"Upon arrival, had to check-in by phone. Very impersonal and took too long. The room was small with a tiny bathroom. No information or instructions was provided in the room. I paid a premium for the view of the lake and it was just okay, at best. I expected more for the cost."

"The dirtiest carpet I have ever been on. Years of dirt and God knows what else have never been cleaned from the rooms carpet. Every shower resulted in black gunk being washed off the bottom of our feet. It was disgusting. The door to the room jbed so we had to throw a shoulder into it just to open the door. The reins concept is cute and well thought out, but maintenance and cleanliness did not seem to be a priority."

"The rooms with two queen beds are too cramped and the lighting was sort of gloomy. Beds were good. You can’t beat the location."

"The room was on the lakeside of the property, but very little view. The room itself was just ok. Out of date VHS with small TV. Bed ok. Freezer door in fridge was broken and would not stay shut. On the upside, the property location on the lake was excellent. Nice pier and peninsula grass area. The chairs on shore provided a nice area for relaxing and watching the sunset. Lake Tahoe itself never disappoints!"
