"Love this property. We’ve stayed here a few years ago and returned. We love the outdoor area with the small lake behind the hotel. It’s very tranquil. However, I was very disappointed to see on my credit card after our stay was over, a charge for parking. When we checked in they reviewed the booking and it was confirmed I had prepaid for the room in total but they asked for my credit card for incidentals. I asked what are incidentals and was told- nothing only if we used anything out of the ordinary. (Seemed odd ). I was told there would a daily charge that would be refunded after checkout. At no time during my checkin was I informed there would be a charge for parking. So this whole keeping the credit card for “incidentals” seemed a bit scammy. Kinda left me with a bad feeling. Too bad because other wise we like the hotel. If you need to charge for parking just build it into the price and not seem deceiving in this hidden after charge. Sorry this happened at the end."

"My third time staying Escamilla Lodge. Can’t say enough. This place is wonderful for everything you want, activities, water, sightseeing, wildlife, etc. Had the opportunity to go with my grandkids and they absolutely loved it. The marked hiking trails are an added bonus where my five-year-old and three year-old grandchildren were able to easily maneuver the trails and got to see wildlife. What a wonderful experience. We will make it our fourth next year!"
