"Albergo Sala was a unique experience in the small village of Valbrona. It was quiet and not much to do but that's what we were looking for. The staff were excellent and very helpful and the food was wonderful. The inn is historic and has been in the family for a few hundred years! As it is off the beaten track it is advisable to have a car as public transport is infrequent and challenging and taxi service is quite expensive. Aside from that it was a great place to stay a few days."

"We were attended to by Dayana; we arrived at night, and she and the housekeeper were absolutely fantastic. The hotel is very modern, the rooms and bathrooms are clean and very spacious, with a lake view. The breakfast was incredibly varied and delicious. Covered parking is available. I would definitely return to this hotel."

"Staff was wonderful! Sara and Stefania from reception both helped us when our trains were canceled last minute and we had to find rides back to the hotel and to Milan. Hotel was clean and beautiful and breakfast and spa staff were also welcoming and helpful. "
