"The room was very clean and very spacious but the shared bathroom was a little run down. They did clean it daily but it needed an update. I did not feel completely safe in the surrounding area. The actual property seems liked a combination of a preschool and a homeless shelter. In fact there was a cafeteria that we were not allowed to eat in because it was only for people getting help from the Red Cross. It was very cheap though and worth the money. "

"The room was very clean, well equipped and added details like earplugs, coffee, milk and a good size bottle of water. They responded my queries promptly and helpful. I was able to leave my cases before checking time at no extra charge. Very friendly and helpful staff, easy access to building and room. Short walk from Atocha station, lots of buses and metro station close by."

The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is (I’d have given it 4.5 if possible) is: (1) The microwave in our property was out of order (the host knew - it had a sticker on It saying so) and we were not told before we arrived, which was a bit annoying. They subsequently offered to move us to another but it was the evening by then, we were tired and only staying one night. Surely it would have been better to put us in a property with a working...
