"J'ai fait une réservation de derniere minutes via le site internet expedia mais malheureusement lors de notre arriver le gérant étais géné car la chambre que j'avais réservé n'était pas disponible. Heureusement il a trouvait une solution et nous a mis dans une autre chambre dans un autre bâtiment. "Hotel is situated a little tucked away from the main area, but it’s a small town and easy to get around. We were not able to check in before 3pm, and were asked to ring the buzzer every time to be let in. It was a little confusing, but we managed. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and the bathroom was luxurious. We enjoyed our stay, but we also barely spent any time in it as there is so much to do around Saumur. Everything is within walking distance, even the train station (although a little farther, it’s still walkable)."

"Good location (very close to the train station and downtown) and relatively quiet for being located on a major road at a major intersection. The building is nice, solidly constructed with spacious rooms and high ceilings. The room needs some updating in terms of decor and there are little touches that show a lack of very careful attention to maintenance (curtains that aren’t attached completely at the top of the window, dead mosquitoes on the sheer curtains). A little more careful attention to these details would go a long way to improving the first impression. That said, the room was spacious (a corner room -05) and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were welcoming and pleasant. All in all, I recommend this hotel and would stay again on another visit to the Saumur area."

"We loved our stay at this beautiful shabby chic chateau! It was very clean but basic/ yes the furnishings are a little dated but the views and countryside and of course price more than made up for it- we visited the chateau de montjoffroy nearby it was great and we also loved the continental breakfast which included vegan options."
