"I rated many areas of this hotel as excellent but the largest negative is the location. Didn’t feel too safe as the area of Albany area is somewhat rundown and homeless individuals that seemed as though they were on substance or schizophrenic."

"This is my go-to hotel in NY Capital District. Service is usually good. However, we hit an anomaly that it was very understaffed for a busy holiday weekend (fall foliage viewers, college reunion weekend, a wedding, 3-day weekend for school kids, etc.) Check-in took a while (single front desk person), housekeeping/rooms not ready in the afternoon (room not ready for 4pm check-in), and breakfast tables were not cleared for next guests and food resupply was all done by 1 person. Still a good place to stay otherwise. I will stay again. I only post as a forewarning for busy weekends...or hope they read the review to plan future busy weekends."
