"Basic lodging that met the needs of our party of 7. We were in building 53 (upstairs) and there is no real lounging space but the bedrooms are spacious. Basic soap provided and some tea/coffee. Beds were comfortable but as others have mentioned the floors can be loud but slippers are provided to help the noise. The building is close to the main area where shops and restaurants are so definitely loud at times…earplugs can help."

"Unfortunately, it seems that all hotels are pricey in Iceland. This one is no exception. However, the property is lovely, spacious, nicely appointed and in a perfect location. The only inconvenience was the noise on the street which prevented us from keeping the window open all night."

Beware that there is no elevator in the adjacent building where we stayed on the 3 floor. Also there was some significant water damage on the wall that did not look good. The dish rack was broken. The main thing that would have made our stay better was to have blackout blinds throughout. There was 1, and the rest were blackout curtains which let in a ton of light bleed from...
