"We had a wonderful one night stay at Lava Stone. We chose Ammoudi Bay over the main town Oia for the quiet setting and beautiful view, away from the overrun main town. All catamarans etc come into this bay for the sunset and we were able to watch it from the privacy of our own terrace. The hike up the big cobblestone steps to the main town is a bit exhausting - you can ride a mule up the hill instead if you wish… Do take advantage of them organizing a pick up for you from the port / airport. "Hôtel familial au personnel extrêmement sympathique, et francophone ! Il est tres bien situé a 5 mn a pieds du centre (lac). Très propre, disposant d'un ascenseur. La chambre (201) donne une magnifique vue sur la mer et l'île juste en face, avec une belle terrasse, bien orientée pour en profiter dès l'après-midi. Les équipements sont un peu vieillots mais fonctionnels. La clim meriterait une petite réparation car 2 volets sur les trois sont cassés et il est difficile dorienter le debit d'air....

"Hands down one of the best travel experiences ever. Host and hotel were the best and super accommodating. Easy to get a 4Wheeler rental, broke a glass with quick and thorough sweep, Ice, etc. Absolutely loved our stay and the Honeymoon sweet is worth every penny. If I have one piece of advice...you paid to stay here. So get some booze from right around the corner, a couple gyros, and ignore the crowd and enjoy the sunset for the balcony tub/pool.
