The hotel’s convenient location near restaurants, shops, a laundromat, and cafés, along with its friendly staff, are its main strengths. The balcony view was also breathtaking. Unfortunately, the sleeping arrangements were extremely uncomfortable. The mattress was so worn that you could feel the springs, the pillows were flat and offered little support, and the comforters were old and worn. After long days of sightseeing, getting a comfortable night’s sleep was difficult and disappointing. The hotel also feels dated, and the bathroom could have been cleaner, particularly the toilet, which had an unpleasant urine smell. While I would consider staying again for the location, views, and service, management really needs to prioritize replacing the bedding and improving cleanliness.

Great location, excellent views from the room. Room was as described, it wasn’t glamorous but it was comfortable and we have no complaints. Shower was powerful and great. We knew there was no air con but a fan might have been useful as it was super hot during our visit. Would recommend and would stay again.

The room was clean, sparse furnishings and very small bathroom. We had a back of the hotel room, so the view was amazing. But could hear the church bells toll every hour and half hour throughout the night so ear foam plugs are a must. Check in and out and key system was a breeze. Location great, right across from a small playground which was super helpful with our grandson.

We love the place. It has great charm. It is not for those who want the finest of accoutrements - it is more a creaky-old-ski-chalet in style (which we adore). Wonderful location. My only caveat is that if you plan to stay and have your windows open for the amazing Alpine air, then make sure your room is in the front of the hotel (facing the main street). Out back there is some sort of generator of compressor that cycles on and off constantly day and night. When it cycles on it sounds like an old electric alarm clock that then morphs into a loud hum. We found that we couldn't sleep at night without ear plugs.

This is not a place to stay for multiple nights in a row. The beds are super uncomfortable, not ideal when you are out hiking all day and want a good nights rest. There is also no AC so the room got really hot. If you are looking for a nice restroom and shower there is only a small shower. Seeing staff is rare but when you do encounter them, they are super nice. I normally don’t write reviews because I’m not a person to complain especially when it comes to nature but the beds were so disappointing. Other than those things the view is breathtaking and it’s a cute village overall

The property was clean and nearly everything functioned, though it was showing its age. The floorboards were very squeaky, the windows were drafty, and the outlet by the bed didn't work, but the bed was very comfortable and the shower was good (sometimes came right out hot, sometimes I had to wait a bit). The staff were super nice and helpful when I saw them, which was rare because the desk is only staffed for the afternoons. The shared kettle in the basement was useful. Good location near the shops and train station, nice and quiet. Overall a good bargain given the prices of other hotels in the area.
