We stayed 2 nights in order to visit Mont St Michel. It was very convenient. The hotel is an old manor house, very nicely decorated. We were on a floor which had no lift access but I guess that's normal for this kind of old place. They had a lift for some other floors. Our bedroom was very nicely decorated and clean. TV had French and UK channels which was good. The Wifi was OK but not great. We didn't try the breakfast, prefered a walk to the nearby boulangerie. Pontorson is a small town but it...

The area where hotel is is behind a barrier and the hotel provide an access code in order for you to retrieve an access card. It costs €12.50 Each time you leave, so if you leave and enter twice in a day, that is 2 x €12.50. If you are there for more than one day it is min €12.50 per day. What a lovely hotel. I was welcomed with a friendly smile by the extremely helpful staff. My room was well decorated in a very modern style. It was clean and fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay in this Chateau. From the moment we entered the drive until we left everything was "wow". The building and grounds were quite a sight and the restoration that has been carried out was sympathetic to the period in the public rooms while providing up to date facilities in the bedrooms. The views across the gardens and over the French countryside were terrific and our hosts were very helpful during our stay.
