"The pictures do not match the actual rundown quality and lack of housekeeping skills that the hotel actually is.. I took pictures of the gross windows, the hair on the bathroom floor, the flat pillows. The floor above us creaked, so we could hear every movement from above and every conversation penetrated right through the walls and floor. On top of that, the breakfast was minimal with prepackaged stuff that you would buy out of a vending machine and a few cooked items that were gross."

"The room was clean and comfortable. I only had interaction with staff on check in/and check out but they were all very nice. The breakfast was good, I was hoping for biscuits & gravy but that wasn't one of their offerings, at least not that morning. They had a ice water dispenser in the lobby on a stand and at breakfast they had placed bags with breakfast items (like a sack lunch but with breakfast) up for grabs. There were many places to eat within walking distance, also Powell's Bookstore was...

"Tiny room, terrible breakfast for $29, $4 for each bottled water. The sofa bed was not made when we checked in. There was one blanket and pillow for it, we called the front desk that night, and no one came to deliver any other blanket or pillow. Overall not a good experience and will not be staying there again."

"Room size good. Room 204 balcony door did not open fully. Roof garden was not organised as well as it could be - a missed opportunity. Helpful staff at reception. Basic breakfast could have done with a bit more variety eg a sugared cereal or danish"

"The website states that the King bed sleeps 3! We all assumed that meant there was a pull out bed of some type. I have never seen it advertised that a King bed sleeps 3 on any other website. This is extremely misleading. They did not have a roll-a-way or any other solution for us. We had to give up our room to our family members and we ended up driving home in the middle of the night instead."

"This was a unique place to stay for a night after flying into Portland. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. You can hear the music from downstairs but they don’t play too late. There was a band playing in the saloon during our stay so they had a cover charge to get into the saloon that was not included in your hotel stay. Luckily they had an outdoor area that is feee to sit at and eat."

"Convenient location, quiet area, lovely and comfortable rooms, but if you are a tea drinker, bring your own tea bags...there was a serious lack of attention to those of us who don't drink coffee! We walked to Powell's, the Portland Art Museum, the local convenience store, the Chinese Garden, and several nearby restaurants. Public transit is also very close by."

We had a view looking directly into an apartment, parking costs a ton, and there’s very little water pressure in the bathrooms. All fairly normal city stay woes, but with the price of the room plus the surprise “luxury fee” each night, it really wasn’t worth it. Not a clue what the luxury fee was for either, when they nickel and dimed...
