"A 1 night stop-off on my way to Scotland. I stayed here as it had a gym and (small) pool with sauna. The staff were lovely with special thanks to the lady on the leisure club reception who let me use the studio. I also used the pool, sauna and jacuzzi which were small but clean (there's a steam room too but that was temporarily unavailable). The hotel is looking a little tired but is clean with good sized comfortable rooms at a decent price. Have previously stayed at another chain hotel close...

"Last minute booking and we arrived after midnight due to awful traffic driving up from the south, but there was still ample parking and the front desk was manned and ready. Pleasant surprise to find out the parking was free on weekends. Didn't use many of the amenities but the dining area was nicely presented, functional lifts and very quiet location. Bed comfy, shower had good pressure and black out curtains made for a good night's sleep. Would definitely stay here again."

"We arrived at 2pm as we were attending a wedding a few miles away, which started at 3pm. Were told we could check in but there was a £30 early check in supplement. Never known a '4*' ask forvtjos previously. And for 1 hour! Arriving after the wedding to our suite, we had to declare it uninhabitable as a result of the strong rotten egg smellvemanating from the bathroom. Told reception and we were put in a smaller room, and told we'd get at least £50 refund on the cost of the 2 rooms. New room was...
