"Older hotel, not fancy but clean, helpful staff and best of all, location, location, location. Close to theatre district, good places to eat and time square. Rarely walked a mile or more to any of our destinations (we were on a theatre trip). Price was way lower than most hotels in the area. Would stay here again."
"The new AI elevator system was horrible! The system didn’t work as explained and no one was there to override it.
Of the 5 elevators the system would funnel 20 people to the same elevator. Could take up to 20-30 min just to get to your floor."
"The lobby is nice but that’s about it. I arrived and they made me pay another $200 for a “facility fee.” That’s on top of the about $1000 I’d already paid at booking for 4 nights.
The beds only had flat sheets. No fitted sheet. No duvet cover. Just two flat sheets below and on top of the duvet insert. Only water was on the 4th floor.
Was told check out was at 11am yet staff came into our room unannounced at 9am and asked when we were leaving.
The chrome cast tv in our room was also broken.
No mini fridge or microwave in the room which would have been fine if I wasn’t charged so much.
Unsure what this facility fee was for when the facility is deteriorating, even if they try to cover it by renovating the lobby.
Would not stay again."
"Hotel history and location were great. We walked to The Metropolitan Opera House, Carmine's Italian restaurant and Time Square. Restaurants in the Hotel and nearby were fun."
