The property was not really clean. Walls in room were dirty esp in bathroom. The check in time of 5 is slightly inconvenient as it is late in day and most people arrive earlier. However the hosts were very friendly and helpful and luckily arrived early so we could at least put our bags inside. They responded quickly by email

Awful - Awful - AWFUL
I had the absolute pleasure of booking a stay at the Villa Louvre Lens recently, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience...unfortunately, for all the wrong reasons. Imagine my delight when I arrived, eagerly anticipating a relaxing night, only to find the place completely closed, like a ghost town. Oh, but the fun didn't stop there! I spent the entire day trying to reach someone, anyone, at the hotel. But alas, their phone seemed to be on an extended vacation as well. You know, it's not every day that you willingly part with your hard-earned money just to sleep on the streets, but hey, the Villa Louvre Lens made sure to deliver that unique opportunity. And let's not forget the cherry on top - the icing on this disaster cake: the fact that they conveniently forgot the concept of refunds. Who needs money back anyway, right? I suppose my lost night's sleep was just a generous contribution to their mysterious and elusive business model. If you're looking for an unparalleled experience of frustration, confusion, and the sheer joy of throwing your money into a black hole, the Villa Louvre Lens should be your top choice. They've truly mastered the art of disappointment. Kudos to them!

Unfortunately I had booked the wrong hotel. I was meant to be travelling to HOTEL LOUVRE not VILLA LOUVRE. This hotel (hostel) is fine for budget standards but not for business travel. Reception asked for money upfront when I arrived and then would not refund me when I realised I was at the wrong hotel. I had paid for 3 nights and was happy to pay for one / even two nights as per the notice period. There is no hotel parking, and the road was blocked for a festival so I could not get near the road for the hotel until after 8pm. The hotel was clean but very basic. I would name this as a hostel rather than as a hotel. There is no security and reception is only manned for a short time.

The owners were very helpful in every way. Assisted with restaurant selection, got our laundry done and were a genuine pleasure to deal with. The room was perfect and the bed awesome.

Do not go if the weather is hot!
We arrived at about 10pm, and the hostess was very accommodating given we had to disturb her a couple of times. The room was clean, but as it was a particularly hot night the room did not cool down. In fact it was cooler outside (20 degrees) compared to the 25 degrees inside. There were shutters that we could not open in the main bedroom, and it was very claustrophobic being in a room with no natural light.

Hello sir, It is such a shame to give such a bad score, when we have given you your room late at night when the reception was closed. We had waited for you even thought we did not know if you were coming. And concerning the shutters you could've asked us, the system is really easy in the window. They were closed because in the evening the sun hits the room directly.

This quaint hotel is very clean, the beds are the most comfortable that we had on our trip. Breakfast was included and very good. The staff was excellent and very accommodating to our needs. It is ideally located to visit the memorial at Vimy.

Very comfortable room with great big bed!

Oveall the stay was very good. Great hostess - modern, clean room. The location was convenient. Driving into the area, we were concerned about its locale. However, once we were settled this was forgotten. The outside does not reflect the inside. I would definitely recommend.

A gem
This is a lovely place. The couple who owns and operates are terrific. It is a sleek and modern bed and breakfast. This was my second stay, and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Small town, very nice hotel
A lovely young couple owns this small hotel in Lens. It's a perfect place if you're visiting the historic sites of Vimy. For the money, it is exceptional. Get the big room.

Very comfortable,friendly and enjoyable stay overnight. Convenient parking and excellent breakfast.. Quiet ,but central location close to Lens Louvre and to centre of Lens. Well appointed room with all necessary amenities. Our hosts Marina and Johan were charming and helpful.

The hotel is slightly hidden in a small street (you could easily drive past it), but they've done a grand job of making it practical and accessible with key code access and secure parking. We were given a really friendly welcome, help with parking, a tour of the amenities in the hotel and recommendations of where to go in town. Our room was smart and clean, the wifi was really fast, there was Netflix account we could use. Nice convivial breakfast in the morning, cooked food if you wanted it.

Stayed in Lens to attend Thiepval Somme 100 Commemoration, hotel owner exceptionally helpful with local information and advice on good restaurants , also arranged very early breakfast for us. Lovely room, excellent breakfast and would highly recommend .

Lovely B&B hotel
We stayed for only one night as planned. The hotel is very lovely. However, we did not realize that there is no elevator and my husband has difficulty with stairs. He did manage the stairs. This was the only drawback to the hotel. It is a lovely B&B and very quaint.

Visitors to Canadian Memorial at Vimy take note
A gem of a find. Small boutique hotel in Lens, France. Wonderful staff who are willing to go out of their way to please guests. Our room was the executive king at the front of the house. The bath is new, and luxurious, with sea green glass tile from floor to ceiling. Huge walk-in shower. Lots of space to spread out, and very clean. We needed a charger, and the owner went out and got one for us. He recommended the most wonderful restaurant for us within walking distance. My only request is that they offer a hot breakfast, such as scrambled eggs. Run by three very friendly young people. A very good choice for Canadians visiting Vimy Ridge. The city of Lens is a bit run-down, as is the neighbourhood, but don't let this put you off. Villa Louvre Lens is a hidden gem. If going to Vimy, I would definitely book another stay.
