"The 1st was horrible to sleep on a sinkhole in the mattress in room 200. The next evening when we arrived back to the room, I ask if we could get another mattress or switch rooms. She switched with no problems. I did show her the mattress did have a sinkhole in it. "

"Let me start off by saying I cannot give enough stars for the Evergreen Inn. The property is located near food and shopping facilities, and has Wi-Fi for guests.The staff is super friendly and helpful. The room though small looks well maintained, and wonderfully decorated, and the bed is exceptionally comfortable. This is definitely where I will be staying every time I pass through from now on. "

"I had a very pleasant experience here and would stay again. Kay and Celeste were very sweet and welcoming hosts. They prepared a tasty breakfast every morning and had fresh coffee. The room was small and the building is old so every step is squeaky, but that personally made it more charming for me! Bringing a fan for noise helped with sleeping. The bed in the Notrella room was very comfortable. There is a shared common room with a tv and a shared bathroom for a few of the rooms. The bathroom and room were clean but a little dusty. There is 1 small fridge that is shared. The town of Allerton is very small. We loved the kitties!! This place isn’t for everyone, but if you like small towns and historic buildings you’ll enjoy it."

"This was a great place to stay for one night on the way from Missouri to Wisconsin. NOTE: the hotel building is 2 stories, but no elevator. Request room on 1st floor if handicapped. Large pool with mildly chlorinated water (my son gets itchy in pools quickly, but not this one), under a broad chalet-style roof. Highly recommend! "
