This is a beautiful historic hotel. If the holiday inn express is to your taste- dont book here. If you want to take a step back in history this is a beautiful place to stay. Excellent staff. Loved it. Try the Pisco sour

The experience was not positive at all. The hotel is lovely, the staff is friendly, and it has a prime city-center location, but the rooms do NOT have air conditioning. The noise from the street and the bar was UNBEARABLE because we had to keep the windows open—which poses a risk for children. Oh, and the beds were very small.

The hotel is very grant and historical, located in the center, very convenient, free order to make breakfast and welcome cocktails drinks in a bar, very nice staff and reception. Only the room is a little bit old and the sound proof need to be improved

The hotel is outdated and not functional for “ Modern “ needs . That it was the best hotel In Lima 100 years ago. One night stay is more than enough. However, the restaurant and bar were great !!! Also, in the heart of historic district.

This hotel is conveniently located within the historical district of Lima, and easily served by taxi and Uber. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Room is clean although the hotel itself is aged. The included breakfast is of high quality and is individually cooked. A major inconvenience is the weak WiFi signal in the hotel room. Not only the signal is weak but the internet connection is disrupted frequently. When using my own eSIM card for internet connection, the network shows only 3G , effectively with no connection.

If you want to experience a bit of the history of Lima, there is no better place to stay. The hotel is beautiful and you feel like you’re stepping back in time being there. I imagined all the people who stayed there over the past 100 yrs. Since it is historic, be prepared for some cracks and creaks and absence of amenities like a hair dryer. But the kind staff, generous breakfast, free Pisco Sour drink ticket, and privilege of sharing in the Gran Bolivar’s illustrious history, more than makes up for anything it lacks!

Iconic hotel with great location in the historical centre. Public areas with luxury vibes, but rooms are very basic. Friendly staff at reception. Breakfast service was slow and sbould be improved. For example coffee wss served cold. My major complaint was wifi which was on/off both in public areas but mainly in the rooms. Great bar with pisco sauer drinks. Thanks!

A living piece of history located in the central district. So cool to stay in this grand old hotel and realize all who have stayed there from Hemingway to The Rolling Stones. Family of 4 with 11 and 17 year olds from Florida. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
