"We had a great time. Staff were great (mostly) and really helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant was excellent, my wife and I loved every dish. The bar was well stocked with some great (and favourite) scotch so that was a bonus. We arrived Friday and left Sunday and on the Saturday we had a late lunch which was lovely, sat outside in the garden with the local church in view. Room was comfy and we had the bonus of a little private courtyard which was unexpected. Our only negative came on Sunday morning when we came to breakfast. Saturday we'd opted for breakfast in the room which was good, one note, full English could do with either beans or tinned tomatoes as its a bit dry without. Good quality bacon and sausage though. Sunday went to the breakfast location to be met by member of staff we hadn't seen before who informed us that breakfast wasn't here it was in the bar. I say informed, told us as if we were idiots for not knowing. She escorted us to the bar to a tiny table and asked if we knew about buffet. We didn't so she then took us back to the room we'd originally gone to where we found the buffet and dozens of guests waiting to order breakfast! Back in the bar we were the only people without young children. Obviously now walking back and forward to the real location for drinks and toast. We discovered as we left that there was a bridal fair on in the breakast room which would explain the banishment. Better communication and review would be excellent."

"15 minutes drive from the Lincoln Showground, it's a light and airy hotel, friendly staff. The bathroom tiling was unfinished and the mastic areas were roughly done. Having said that the room was clean, bed, pillows and linens were very comfortable. The breakfast was okay, basic and a little dry (bacon, beans and egg) but we didn't come down to eat until 9.30am so maybe that was why. There was fresh fruit, yoghurt, a couple of cereals, bread and a couple of pastries. The restaurant area was kept exceptionally clean by the staff. I would definitely stay here again. "
