"To our surprise, the property was Excellent! We didn't expect much, as this was a quick stop, on our way back to Port Elizabeth, from Cape Town. It was a perfect stop for an overnight stay. "We really enjoyed our stay in Herold’s bay, our host was in touch with us on the lead up to the stay and then met us on the location and helped us with parking, she was very friendly. The room had a wonderful view over the beach and we loved the convenience of the restaurant next door to our stay. It had everything we needed for our night’s stay before heading off to George airport the following morning."

"The hotel unfortunately is a bit run down, neglected maintenance and during our stay they were renovating Spa (closed), Lifestyle Center (closed), phone system & water system (brownish at times) which is a lot at one time. We found the entry exit procedure extremely annoying, scan vehicle, scan drivers licence, call hotel to open barrier and when they don't pick up you're left there standing. "We initially felt unsafe here . This was probably not a fair assessment- it was based on how we felt that day . We did leave the hotel to stay somewhere else as I was feeling anxious. We return the next morning abd the staff had been really worried about us . They had explained that security was very high . We were taken about about how much they cared . If you are looking for a place to sleep 4 I would consider this - we were just 2 and we found a place that suited us better. However, we...
