"The ocean view is the top feature. Hotel needs an update or at minimum fresh paint. Welcoming coffee and/or tea would be a nice treat.
Pool area is really nice but can be very noisy though. View from the balcony is just gorgeous. Would definitely consider to stay again."
"It was our second year in a row staying at this property. Absolutely incredible experience, I can't think of anything negative to share. Can't wait to go back."
"I was checked-in by the most nicest and polite women ive ever met in customer service. She has an inviting smile that made me feel right at home. I wish i knew her name. I believe it began with an L. "
"The property was alright. I did not have high expectations based on other reviews I had read before booking. Upon arrival, the front office staff was very kind and helpful. Parking is across the street in one of three lots based on availability. The room was clean, though it definitely had signs of moisture damage needing repair. I had reserved an ocean view room. We were placed on the first floor, which does have a walk-out door from the room to the patio; the view was obstructed by trees, tall natural grass, and a fence line on the beach. Each day, towels were left outside the door of the hotel room. There is no housekeeping during your stay. The kids enjoyed the outdoor pool, though it was small in size. The shallow end was much smaller than the deeper end, so the pool can become crowded quickly. There is access to a lazy river, a small pool, and a hot tub in an adjacent building across a small parking lot. The lazy river did not have a flow to it, so my kids quickly became annoyed and bored. There is a nice concrete walkway that you can take to local restaurants and shops. We were there for three nights, which was a good time frame."
"The room kept having toilet issues and they would take forever to come fix it. The resort is def run down, this used to be a family vacation place for me and my family as a kid. It’s not like I remembered it and was so excited to take my own kids to something I did as a kid when my parents were still here. I was def disappointed with how dirty the pools were, the rooms have no room service so if you need anything you have to go to the lobby (toilet paper, extra towels.. literally anything.), the room was not terrible but furniture and trim were falling apart in our room. The restaurant in the hotel called Latitudes was terrible. Would not recommend at all. We were left waiting for 30 mins for someone to even acknowledge us. I just wish the experience was better so I could have that special moment of sharing memories with my kids about their late grandparents."
"This stay was honestly frustrating from the start. Before we even arrived, the hotel called trying to move us out of our two-bedroom suite into two separate rooms. I explained I was traveling with my kids, including a toddler, so that wasn’t an option.
When we checked in, the AC in our suite was not working at all. DROPPED temp to about 60, and took kids to the beach..When we got back to the room it was still hot..We were given a small fan in the meantime, which didn’t help much with a full family in the room. Maintenance confirmed it the next morning, that unit had to be serviced.. It finally started cooling around 2pm. .
What bothered me the most is that it felt like the hotel already knew there was an issue, but we were still sent to the room without being clearly told.
On top of that, the room wasn’t as clean as it should have been, my 10year out found pink ladies underwear left behind from previous guests, which is unacceptable.
The hotel is also under renovation, and some of the amenities we booked this place for, especially for the kids, weren’t available or didn’t look maintained.
The AC was eventually fixed and one night was refunded, which I do appreciate, but for the price we paid, the overall experience just didn’t match expectations."
