Church across the green The central green in Casnewydd Bach/Little Newcastle was the site of the 'new' Norman castle or motte, succeeding an earlier one close by. All trace of it has long disappeared leaving just an attractive open space as a feature of this typical Landsker village.

Footbridge over the Afon Anghof This bridge, just a few yards upstream from the road bridge, appears to have served those who travelled by foot to and from the Puncheston road east of Little Newcastle, in all likelihood chapel-goers at Beulah.

The only downside was having to wait for hot food at breakfast. Had to wait for scrambled eggs to be replenished. By the time I had egg the bacon had all gone, by the time the bacon arrived my egg was cold. The restaurant wasn’t too busy but the service was slow.
