– Not As Advertised
I booked two separate nights at this hotel through a third-party site for a trip with my son. I chose this hotel specifically because it advertised a 9ft pool, an on-site restaurant, and a location that seemed safer and more comfortable for a family stay. Unfortunately, almost everything about this experience was a letdown.
When I arrived, I found the pool was completely drained and the restaurant was closed. I spoke to the front desk and was told the property has been under construction since April, and that this information was supposedly on all the booking sites. However, the third-party site I used still listed all amenities as available — including the pool, which was a major factor in choosing this hotel.
The room itself was dusty, with cobwebs in the corners, and clearly not well-maintained. The air conditioning didn’t work at all, and instead there was a loud portable unit set up in the room. The WiFi also does not work in the rooms — it only connects in the lobby area, which is extremely inconvenient.
To make matters worse, the hallway reeked of marijuana despite being a non-smoking floor. The parking lot and the area outside the lobby had no lighting at all in the evening, which made it feel unsafe coming and going at night.
I had already prepaid and couldn’t get a refund due to the third-party booking, and there were no other nearby hotels with availability during my stay. If I could have left, I would have.
