I prepaid a 2-night stay however when I arrived I was informed that the elevator was out of order and I would have to climb the stairs. I explained that my aunt was disabled and could not climb stairs. They told me that there were no rooms on the first floor available and could not help me. They also told me that the elevator had been out of order for a few weeks. I also overheard the staff talking about running out of coffee for breakfast. Needless to say that I will not ever stay here. Hopefully Expedia refunds me because I had To go to the Angler Hotel across the highway (which i highly recommend)

There were lots of ladybugs, both dead and alive, on the floors and walls of the room as well as in the shower. The AC unit was too large for the room making it act as a dehumidifier instead of colling the room. The bed was definitely not Queen sized as advertised. Chose the hotel because it was one of Choice Hotel's Ascend hotels. We had higher expectations.

Staff was very friendly. But, first room had dead bugs in the floor, and looked like someone had just left it. Second room I was moved the was filthy, including a pubic hair covered shower.

After driving 17hrs I wanted nothing more then to reach this hotel and be able to rest. But as I walked through the door I was hit with a massive smell of natural gas. I checked in and tried to get my wife and newborn upstairs and get some rest. But the smell reached the second floor where our room was my wife and son fell asleep but I couldn’t shake this smell of gas. After looking to see if any other guest have had the same experience I was found guest and staff have been complaining about this and may other health code violations posting pictures and other evidence. I was in the room for 1hr and decided this wasn’t safe fo my family or myself and went to check out The lady at the front desk “Hayley” said she wasn’t surprised to hear these things and that she has been getting calls about the hotel not paying bills and vendors. They refused to refund me so I just left. Worried about other guest I called the fire department and they said the gas alarm goes off every few days and happened to just go off as well before I called but he told me the manager just says it’s a faulty sensor and they never go on site. The owner is also aware that there is black mold issues throughout the hotel and ignores from what staff have said

The room was good, no coffee maker but the coffee served and breakfast downstairs were great. We were disappointed that the bar was not actually open at all and wouldnt be. The staff was wonderful!

The lady checking in was very sweet and had good customer service. The only complaint we had was that the room next to us the alarm was going off for about 10 minutes and we called the front desk to let her know and she took care of it. Other than the alarm waking us up at 3AM, the rooms were very clean.

It was an okay stay, however on the first night we were frantically awakened by the fire alarm at 6:00am, then again at 10:00am. We were told that the facility is in the process of changing ownership and that several issues are being left unresolved as a result. We were unaware and surprised that the rooms do not have drawers for clothing, our toilet was unstable and needs to be secured to the floor, the bar was inadequately stocked, the bar tender was unskilled, but a nice young man, he tried. The head cook was very nice, helpful & inviting. Also I had to kill a rather large cockroach on the bathroom wall. Overall the staff was nice and helpful, no issue there, however the place needs a lot of attention, and that starts from the TOP! There are more things I can mention but I’m running out of character space. With all the issues I’m speaking of and also NOT mentioning in this review, there was no discussion of price adjustment, we still paid the asking rate, and we did not receive equal accommodations. One last thing, my wife wanted to use the exercise room, but it was being used as a storage space. Again, the staff tried, but they’re only working with what they have. Ownership/Management needs to do better and step up!! This was my 2nd stay at this location, Oct 2024 and this year. My wife, son and I were in town for our yearly family reunion, and we are considering staying elsewhere in 2026 if these conditions are not corrected. I welcome a response to this review.

All staff we encountered were very nice and pleasant. The stay was good. Our only issue was dinning at the inside restaurant breakfast. Food was not good. We sent it all back. Staff was very nice about it.
