It is a first-class hotel right by the sea, with friendly service staff and a breakfast buffet that leaves nothing to be desired. The room was very spacious, with a comfortable king size bed 😀 The furnishings are already a bit old (some paint is peeling off on the walls and shutters, slight defects in the bathroom and the furnishings). But none of this had a negative impact on my stay! A small pool & sun loungers on the roof terrace, which I didn't use. The hotel is right next to a bus stop and the journey to the center takes 15 to 20 minutes. It is also possible to rent an e-bike directly on site.

Ankunft mit dem Auto: wir wurden perfekt vom Concierge empfangen. Rezeption hatte zuerst behauptet, unter der Expedia Buchungsnummer nur ein Zimmer zu haben und dass ich mich mit Expedia um die Lösung des Problems kümmern müsse. Exakt im Moment als ich die Expedia-Nummer anrufen wollte, haben sie die Reservation für das 2. Zimmer gefunden. Die beiden Damen am Empfang hatten kein Namensschild und waren unfreundlich. Alle anderen Personen im Hotel waren sehr freundlich. Zusammenfassend: es ist ein 4 Sterne Hotel mittleren Standards (sicher kein 5 Sterne Hotel)

The staff took excellent care of us. An example we had just got back to hotel and the restaurant had closed. But the bartender and the chef whipped up some delicious food even though they closed. They went above and beyond. Rooms are large and clean. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We had beautiful views of ocean

It was a very pleasant and beautiful stay. The location is gorgeous and the hotel is stunning as well. The hotel service was continuously kind and helped anytime we asked. Wonderful stay!

Buon Hotel, struttura di pregio in ottima posizione. Due suggerimenti il primo è relativo all'illuminazione del bagno insufficiente neanche una lampada in prossimità dello specchio. Altro suggerimento per il personale della reception in fase di pagamento ad un chiarimento non è corretto rispondere per il parcheggio si occupa altro collego, io ho chiesto perchè all'arrivo non mi è stato fatto presente che il parcheggio aveva un costo di 18 euro giorno? Sinceramente visto che il parcheggio in strada non si paga e l'hotel offre un parcheggio all'aperto a circa pochi metri dalla strada è una spesa inopportuna. Peccato che alla reception non ti informano.

Beautiful grandiose hotel built in 1888. The high ceilings, the columns and the frescos are a glimpse into its glorious past. The rooms are nicely decorated with view of the seaside, which is just across the street. The breakfast offers many choices and is served in a lovely room. Fabiana greeted us every morning with her beautiful smile. The staff are professional and helpful. Great experience!

Schöner Kurz-Aufenthalt außerhalb der Saison. Ein paar kleinere Schönheits-Reparaturen wären im Zimmer mal wieder fällig. Service freundlich und sehr gut - ein besonderer Dank an den Concierge Andrea, der Abends noch einen der beiden Blockierer von den E-Ladesäulen vertreiben konnte... In der Parkplatzgebühr ist Aufladen des E-Autos mit drin (2x 11 KW vorhanden). Spa ist leider nicht mit drin. Der Pool ist außen und deshalb nur in der Saison nutzbar.

Hotel gate was closed for car to drive in when we arrived at 6pm. We had to park outside on the street and walked into hotel to ask them open the gate for us. There was only one staff doing check-in, we waited very long. It took us more than 30 minutes from parking to get the room key. Room is very clean. Shower is leaking. Water was all over the bathroom floor after 10 minutes’ shower.

Hotellet lever upp till fornstora dagar!
Det här vackra hotellet är det finaste vi någonsin bott på. Personalen är trevlig och hjälpsam, frukosten är fantastisk o läget med havsutsikt är svårslaget. I vårt fall, slutet av oktober, blåste det storm vilket gav en extra dimension med höga vågor. Under lågsäsong kan man få ett fantastiskt boende till ett bra pris.

certainly not a 5star for services.
check in very unpolite and nobody to escort you to the room; missing valet service. bathroom super old with some broken pieces; towels very old and smelling bad; bed very uncomfortable with the two single mattress opening and missing topper. Overall not a 5 star, only the building is nice.

Didn't feel 5* Especially not breakfast in which every small cup of coffee had to be individually requested. The restaurant prices were through the roof, appropriately enough given the restaurant is actually through the roof. Lovely views over the sea though.

Das Hotel ist ein wunderschöner alter Bau mit viel Scharm und eine Super Lage in Livorno. Das Superior Doppelzimmer 334 hat einen tollen Mehrblick, und die Sonnenuntergänge aus dem Zimmer oder oben aus der Bar im 5 Stock waren traumhaft. Das Frühstücken auf der Terrasse im Erdgeschoss war gemütlich. Allerdings steigen in dem Hotel viele Reisegruppen ab welche nur 1 Nacht bleiben, und wenn diese zum Frühstücken eintreffen ist das Personal überfordert um das Buffet mit allen Köstlichkeiten in Ordnung zu halten. Die leeren Platten werden dann nur mit Verzögerung wieder aufgefüllt. Zimmer 334 Handgriff vom Fenster war nicht festgeschraubt, und nach Reklamation trotz Versprechen das sie es reparieren passierte nicht. Duschkabinen Tür hat einen Spalt zur Wand von ca.0.5 cm. was dazu führt, wenn man nicht aufpasst das ganze Badezimmer überschwemmen kann. Haus mit viel Potenzial mit schlechtem Management welches bei Reklamationen von der Rezeption ohne Entscheidungsgewalt nicht kontaktiert werden kann. Gast wird dann einfach vertröstet, bis er abgereist ist. Auf Reklamationsmails kam nach 3 Tagen keine Antwort -vom Hotel.

Overall it was a pleasant stay. However the hotel is not what you would expect from its name. Some parts would need renovation. The breakfast was badly organised in parts and the rooftop bar prices are ridiculous.
