"Our rooms had a lovely ( unexpected) sea view but as I found out on arrival, most if not all rooms, (other than accessibility/disability rooms) have a shower over the bath, so it wasn’t ideal for my 84yr old mother who doesn’t require an accessible room as she doesn’t have any disabilities or restrictions per se but can’t climb into the bath to take a shower. "The pictures online are nothing like the hotel when you get there the hotel needs a makeover. It says that it has two restaurants but in fact, the breakfast is only open till 10:30 in the morning and the brasserie was only open 2 times and I stayed a full week. It atates that it has a gym which it does not and hasn’t been working for years. The rooms are very dingy stuff caked and stuck on the walls. "Poorly decorated and maintained room. Smelt musty. Dirty. Would not stay again but got stuck travelling later than planned so had to stay. "

"Nice small cosy room that was toasty warm. Only marked it down as the milk in the little pots was just a solid mass of gloop so could not make a drink. A note on the wall advised that milk was available downstairs in the bar, which is no good if you make a first brew after the place is closed. "

I used the gym facilities and instead of dining elsewhere, decided to stay on site and eat at their restaurant. The food was utterly delicious and completely vindicated my decision. "From the outset the reception was chaotic with lots of noisey people. I had to queue for self check-in. I queried why there was a £5 car parking charge when this hadn't been pointed out prior to my booking. I asked why this was and he said because I booked with Expedia. So be careful. The hotel was tired and not worth the money."

"Overall a great stay as always. Vegetarian options limited for the evening meal. Staff helpful and welcoming , room lovely. Lovely garden in the sunshine, oh and great beer!"
