"Great as a place to put one's head down, nice and quiet. The rooms were a little dated and small, Most of the money appears to have gone on the dining room, which is beautifully decorated. Breakfast was to order, I would suggest different pricing of porridge vs full breakfast. You don't always fancy the latter, but feel compelled to in order to get your money's worth. The hotel was spotless and the staff attentive.
Great location for hiking routes, a 10-15 min walk down a hill into Pitlochry, with a bus stop outside, which was useful for the visit to the visit to the distillery (walked there, bussed back). Would definitely stay again. Free parking was a bonus."
