"Better than I thought it would be "

"Had a very nice 2-night stay at Loch Long Hotel with my daughter and grandson. On arrival the reception area is very bright, modern and welcoming. The man on reception is extremely polite. After reading some really negative reviews I wasn't expecting much but was more than pleasantly surprised by how nice it actually is. We stayed in the family room, which is small but adequately eqipped with a double and single bed and bath. The room was lovely and warm,bedding was very clean and the hot water...

"This was our favourite stay during our road trip around west Scotland The staff were incredibly polite and kind natured The food was amazing ( large portions ) The decor is quirky and charming We stayed in what I could better describe as an apartment more so than a room- stone floors and lovely and clean The staff recommended a walk for us with the kids and it was perfect, alongside the loch, to beaches with incredible views Very nice place indeed "

"Following its recent refurbishment, The Tarbet Hotel blends historic elegance with modern comfort in a stunning location, great for hillwalkers and couples. My only critique is that the dinner service was a bit slow and the menu felt like poor value for money, but we enjoyed the fish pie and chicken schnitzel. Breakfast was exceptional!"

"Great welcome by Alison , super room with a view to die for ! Lounge area by the log burner was perfect to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. Evening dining was available which was fabulous and very high quality. Breakfast was also excellent made all the more special looking out to the view of the Loch . "Friendly staff and good room for people with mobility issues. The cooked breakfast was really good. I was disappointed to hear that they’re stopping food in the hotel as the food was good and it will only be continental breakfast although the pastries were lovely but when you go away a cooked breakfast is always good the next morning."
