Unfortunately i can't give a n honest opinion of the Hampton Suites, as there was a problem with my booking. I'm not sure if it was Expedia's fault, or that of the property's, but when i arrived to collect the keys from the nearby Crowne Plaza as instructed, i was told that the property was undergoing maintenance and i should not have been allowed to book it in the first place(i had booked it two months prior). This was particularly frustrating as i have sent an email only days before my arrival to ensure everything was in order and to confirm that there were 5 of us staying.
The person on the hotel reception was helpful and to be honest put in a very awkward situation. We were offered accommodation within the hotel itself, but after approx. 2 hours of back and forth negotiations and changing of rooms, we eventually checked into two bedrooms in the hotel. As there were no spare beds available onsite, my daughter had to sleep on the floor. We were travelling from overseas, so this was not an ideal situation, especially as we had been up since 4.30am. This was also part of a birthday trip for my eldest son, so a lot of plans had to change regarding meal arrangements and having my family sitting around most of the evening waiting for the accommodation situation to be resolved was a very disappointing and not to mention infuriating. Top this off with a fine a week later for parking that was supposed to be complimentary - that issue now resolved thankfully.
