The beachfront is more aesthetic as it's very rocky, so not the type of beach you can swim in or enter. "I enjoyed four nights in a bungalow on the front line of Kae Bae beach. The accommodation was very comfortable and it was such a pleasure to look directly out to the beach and water from the front door. And there was a lovely porch there to sit on and enjoy the scenery. In addition, the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The town area is just a 6-7 minute walk away, but a concierge was available to take me in a cart. "A lovely hotel in the middle of Kae Bae Beach on Koh Chang. Lots of restaurants, bars, shopping, and massage shops all within easy walking distance. The hotel itself is great, with most (all?) rooms facing a gorgeous pool, or out towards the sea.
