"Had a great stay, had a lovely welcome, really comfy bed in a lovely cottage suite (room 11). Had everything you could need for a self catering stay. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Car parking included was a bonus. Would highly recommend with only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Bury St Edmunds. Would definitely stay again"

"Large clean room with king size bed and seating area with TV, tea making facilities with fridge and large en suite. The room overlooks farmland. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked and the hosts were full of interesting information about the surrounding area."

"My accommodation was perfect, with everything that I needed and I even had a garage to put my car into. The owner was very pleasant and helpful, and I would love to use this B&B in future. On this occasion I did not have breakfast as I was going out for an early lunch.."

"Overall our one night stay was very good, location and food was brilliant, the only complaint we had, was the mattress on the bed was awful, it was lumpy and we kept falling into the middle, we did tell the staff on leaving, hopefully this will be addressed immediately. Would stay there again if in the area."

"The hotel was lovely with some good old character and a real country pub feel about in the bar and terrace area. The staff were very nice & professional at all times and nothing seemed to be a problem for them when asked for or of them.
Breakfast was delicious with a good selection & choice apart from Black Pudding (LOL).
The only criticisms that I have are, being in room 45, the shower was pretty awkward to use because of where the shower head is mounted and had to position ourselves awkwardly to stand under it, would be better mounted on the wall directly above the taps and some of the room doors on corridors could do with a lick or two of paint, especially the room doors walking through the glass corridor between the rooms and the bar etc. Apart from that, I thought everything else was excellent and would recommend and will definitely stay again when back down visiting my friends, but will use my Blue Light discount next time now that we know this is available, which wasn't advertised at the time of booking."
"Clean rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Great breakfast. Themed Canadian style bar & restaurant. Great gym, pool with jacuzzi steam room & sauna. This is our favourite Holiday inn location’ it’s a great get-away & we stay regularly."
"Helpful staff
Nice room and good breakfast
A lot of noise early in the morning from delivery drivers. Wouldnt recommend to anyone who struggles with sleep"
"Having stayed at the hotel before it changed hands, we decided to return because of its convenient location close to the station. We’re so pleased we did! Our stay was just as enjoyable as before.
The staff were all friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our visit. The hotel was clean and well looked after, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable.
The only slight downside for me was that I didn’t sleep particularly well because I prefer a firmer pillows. That’s purely a personal preference and certainly not a reflection on the hotel.
We did also miss the pool table—it was a nice little extra that we remembered from previous stays!
Thank you to all the staff for making our stay such a pleasant one. We look forward to visiting again."
"My stay was an awesome experience! The service from the staff was very welcoming, attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was first class, and very generous portions! The rooms were a very good size and clean, which made for a comfortable night's sleep.
A great place to stay, and will stay again!"
"Excellent weekend getaway, lovely facilities and good options at the bar. Really convenient location and definitely will be coming back! I recommend using the spa facilities and making the most of your stay! :) All staff very welcoming and friendly"
"Could not find a fault, from the welcoming of the reception staff and the efficiency of all staff members. A special thanks to the lovely lady on reception who bought me some slippers when I'd forgotten to pack a pair of shoes (laugh) to the lovely breakfast waitress - all found time to smile and have a conversation. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean and the breakfast, varied and delicious. The gym was a surprise, it really is very well equipped with a great pool and spa area and the hotel is an ideal location for exploring the town and a visit to the racecourse. Thank you so much for your welcome and very warm hospitality."
