Cari Chalet di Longhope

"Stayed for two nights as a stop over whilst going homeward. Wanted to have a look around the area. Room was small but adequate. Clean with en-suite shower. Ate in the dining area of the pub both nights and enjoyed the food. Informal but friendly service by all, and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Recommend a walk to the canal and then the walk to Gloucester on the tow path. It’s well paved and flat and about three miles."

"The room was beautifully decorated, very clean and with all the expected amenities. There were no staff on site (the key is left in a lock box). I stayed on Monday night, the restaurant is closed on Mondays (hence no interaction with staff). Unfortunately, I did not sleep very well at all due to the loudness of a generator which kept me awake all night. It felt as if I was sleeping inside a helicopter. I left the room early in the morning because I was fed up with the noise and I had...

"The hotel was tired and crumbling in some areas. It had some visual charm. The room was spacious for the price. The shower pressure and temp were unpredictable. There were very drunk people in the bar and one man who was a resident of the hotel fell over in the courtyard. The high street was scary with beggars and people under the influence of drugs and...

"Beautiful setting. Car parking expensive & room next door very noisy as could hear everything!"

"Room felt fresh, and modern, albeit quite small as it was a Single. Very conveniently situated for shops and local sights. Only a 10 minute walk to the Bus & Railway Station. ,"

"Really good staff, staff very helpful, room nice and clean."

"Room was lovely and clean and we had a modern bathroom. Staff were very friendly, food was excellent and service was great. Parking was easy and cheap (6 pounds I think) and the property is gorgeous. We had a room upstairs which was fantastic, our friends had one down the corridor which was different and not as nice. The only thing was the bed - it was extremely hard and impacted our ability to sleep well. If there was a topper or a different mattress I would stay again in a pinch, or just stay...

"Excellent scenic location next to the river. Amazing breakfast choices. Evening meals were always very good and sometimes exceptional. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would hope to return."
