"The hotel was beautiful, but the balcony was covered in bird poop and house keeping wouldn't clean it. Everything else was pretty great. I would say that the rooms are MUCH smaller than in the pictures and that the hotel staff need to do better in informing their guests of when and how to use the amenities."

"The room was wonderful. Clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Made to order omelette, fresh melon, good coffee. It was a treat. The only downside is that the parking was a but high. There is nothing around the hotel, so you have to pay for the parking. Just be aware if this and count it in the cost."

"My stay at the hotel was very nice The rooms were very clean and the staff were very amazing, patient and very professional. The areas around the hotel were nice, the food spots I visited were not only delicious on a budget but they were also within 0.2 miles of the hotel. If you’re looking for food on a budget for breakfast I would recommend Peter’s Carryout I didn’t actually try their breakfast food, but I must say the steak and cheese was Delicioso. But baby, nothing was more fun than when I went to Tommy Joe’s bar. It’s a rooftop bar, which is also 0.2 miles away from the Bethesdan and lit doesn’t even begin to describe this bar. There was so many people there was so much life. Everything was good. The drinks were delicious. If you go to the Bethesda, you have to try Tommy Joe’s. You will not regret it. Overall, for the hotel, I give it an 8 out of 10 would recommend, but Tommy joes definitely gets a 10/10 for me"

"We stayed here for 5 days during our vacation in DC. Nice hotel with attached parking garage. Awesome, free breakfast each morning and drinks at the free evening reception. Also has a Trader Joe's attached. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance, including Whole Foods, Bloomingdale's, Target, and TJ Maxx. The Metro Station is also in the basement of the hotel. A++++++"

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Georgetown Melrose Hotel. It was a great location and a beautiful hotel. There were some things that definitely showed the age of the hotel, but overall, we loved the decor and amenities. The location is extremely convenient and within walking distance of Georgetown, the White House, public transportation, tons of restaurants and more. The hotel is located directly next to an emergency facility so we heard ambulance sirens throughout the night, but it wasn't too terrible. Overall, we loved it and would stay again."
