"This hotel is very convenient if you are attending a conference at the Convention Center. It’s only a block away. It has a pool and little market that’s great for water and snacks. There’s a few restaurants around the area and it’s a short 20 min walk to the French Quarter. There’s a pool and buffet breakfast for $20.
The room was quite spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We only saw housekeeping clean the room once in 5 nights and they didn’t even clear our trash that one time so we had to take it out ourselves. Then we came home one evening to our smoke detector beeping like crazy. It would stop and start up again. We called the front desk, but no one came up. After it started again, we just decided to go to the lobby and inquire. Front desk called maintenance again. After awhile, maintenance came and said it had stopped, but it was probably from e cigarettes. He said he’d heard it around 3:00 that day. None of us smoke and the alarm and weren’t even there at 3:00. Because it was likely to go off again, the front desk agents were kind enough to give us another room. Still annoying when we needed to pack and rest from the long day.
All of the people we dealt with were great, except for maintenance."
