"Room was very comfortable but starting to need a refresh. The bathroom was larg, but the shower was over a very deep bath, which made access and exiting a little difficult, as we are both in our late 70's. Location was excellent, a 1 minute walk from the bus station near the Porta Sant Anna at the western side of Lucca. Staff were excellent. Polite, friendly and helpful."

"Lovely old 3-star property right outside the wall. Clean in all areas. Super friendly staff from Front Desk to breakfast to room maids. Great self-serve breakfast and a variety of teas and cookies in the hallways for guests to serve themselves. The room had all the amenities you need. Hotel is near the rail station, but I never heard a train. Some reviews talk about folks hanging around the train station which I did not encounter and I felt safe at all times."

"We had a very relaxing 1 night stay at this pretty spa-style hotel in the Tuscan hills. Disappointingly, the restaurant was closed forcing us to travel to a nearby town, but we had a great experience and excellent meal. Overall it was very pleasant, but quite expensive."
