Overall poor...needs a good cleaning and a complete renovation. Beds very uncomfortable, carpets dirty and badly stained.Desk chair looked like it was picked up a curb somewhere...breakfast area was clean and food was presented well. Staff was friendly. We have stayed at other Country Inn's in the past. Sadly we will not be staying at the Lumberton Country Inn again!

Husband and I needed a break from long driving at 10 pm so booked this hotel online. Decided to go for mid-price (not the cheapest nor the expensive) hoping for a decent accommodation. Location seemed safe. Staff wasn’t bad. Breakfast was sufficed. I was disgusted by the room carpet floors. Appalling dirt and stains on floors and walls. I was initially given room 309. Horrified, I called reception and asked for a cleaner floor. I was then given room 110. Not much better but staff said “let me be honest with you. The other rooms have worse-looking floors.” The ceiling light wasn’t working. She said that’s a quick fix in the morning. We just needed a night sleep at 10 pm so we settled with the lamps. In the morning, we were waken up by the adjacent space noise (opening and closing the door). I guess the kitchen preparing breakfast.
With enough light, these carpet stains would show even better

There was a hole in the bathroom ceiling where i guess the vent fan was suppose to be,the bath tub was dirty and had hair in it. Paint in tub was also peeling. I had to clean it with cleaner and also wear shower shoes. The desk chair was badly peeling, every time someone sat in it some of the leather came off and got on clothes and floor. The carpet was also dirty. The staff was very friendly! Other than those things we had a nice stay

We did not have any heat in our room and me & my family are all sick due to that. I reached out to the front desk around 10pm and no one responded. I again reached out at 1am and told them about the heat and the fact that there were roaches in our room. They said they could switch our room and when I told them I wasn’t going to wake my entire family up (including a toddler & 2 infants) & pack up everything that we had with us (which was a lot as we were staying for 4 days) they were confused as to why. With the issues with the heat & ROACHES, I was completely unsatisfied and disgusted with the experience. We usually always stayed at this hotel however we NEVER will again. The rooms are disgusting and the hotel itself has gone downhill year after year.

Room was stuffy and smelly, perhaps due to the carpet on the floor. Pillows on the bed was small and square like pillows for a sofa. Staff was friendly, but I would not stay there again.

It has bugs & Expedia does not honor you getting a refund because the property is denying the refund. Traveling with 4 kids & got to the room & it had 3 bugs. 2 in bathroom 1 in the bed area. Your butt will be itching by time you leave this hotel.

Definitely wouldn’t book here again. Carpet all throughout the hotel & rooms which had dark stains. Looks dirty. 1 room had looked like a dried blood stain on the sheets. Moved rooms to a room that smelled like smoke when I originally booked a nonsmoking room. Light breakfast was available.

The room is defiinitely neglected. The bathroom was disgusting- tub not clean, vents full of stuff, floor in bathroom in corners caked with dirt and dirt on floor around toilet. Shower curtain mildewed. The outside of tun and all walls need a deep scrub. You cam tell the ealls have mot wiped off in a long time. The pool has been closed for 2 years. This is false advertising. The pictures must be from a different hotel. After seeing the bathroom- we could not eat there. If thats how bathroom looks i can only imagine how the food prep area looks. I stay at country Inn and suites but after this… I womt ne staying with CI&S again. This really needs to be corrected. I think we were the only ones in the hotel. There were no cars in parking lot😱😳
