"This was our first hotel we stayed in during our Vietnam trip. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and nice - they felt like family. We loved the location - close to Hoan Kiem Lake and on a street where we felt like locals. Loved the chairs and table on the porch where you could sit and watch the street life (we are 6 in our family so great for when we waited for someone to get ready). The small rooftop has a great view of the lake. Just a heads up about Vietnam - you never flush toilet paper - and you pay for your hotel room upon arrival - not when you check out. If you want a real Hanoi experience with an incredible friendly hotel staff- pick this hotel. The rooms vary - we had a smaller room with not a street view - made it a bit dark but at the same time quiet. "
