"The resort was awesomely maintained and kept beautiful, the pools were very nice. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful towards our stay, the room service is also good."
"So much was wrong.
They failed to pick us up from the airport.
We were there for 3 days and 2. The first room smelled (the covers, bedding, and rug). The toilet couldn’t flush properly. The in-room phone didn’t work. They didn’t answer the WhatsApp number. So, every time there was an issue we had to send our kid to the main building to speed with the receptionist. They came to fix it twice. It did not remain fixed. I had a hard time sleeping.
We were moved to another room it was decent. It was better maintained.
They tried to make amends for some things but giving us a free dessert, a beer, and a free round of drinks.
We didn’t use the pool because there was a ton more dirt at the bottom. We understand that it happens given the sandy area, but we didn’t trust it.
The continental breakfast was not good. Stale pastry, fried eggs, and some other things.
Good things: Dinner was good. They had a delicious salad, pizza, and burger.
They scheduled a wonderful guide, car, and driver for two days for only $150. It was a really good deal and old guide.
I have a family of 5. So, my kids were looking forward to the pool and resort feel. It was a miss"
"This hotel is situated along the Nile River in Luxor. It offers several outdoor restaurant/bar options that create great opportunities for memorable sunsets. Really beautiful!"
"This place took me by surprise, as I had no idea it was so grand when I booked it through Hotels.com. Marble everywhere, huge hallways, three restaurants: - upscale French; casual Italian (delicious lasagna); and a bistro where breakfast is served. There’s also a cozy pub and an outdoor lounge on the roof-top, pool deck, where the chefs pick herbs from the gardens. The customer service throughout the hotel was excellent. I was upgraded to a king room with a balcony offering a lovely view over The Nile to the West Bank - including Hatshepsut’s Mortuary Temple - and I watched the sun go down over the pharaoh’s tombs. The room was spacious and well fitted out: the bed comfortable and the shower hot and strong. I ordered the American breakfast one morning and the most amazing amount of food arrived for the meagre sum of EGP250! Customer Service Manager, Esraa (formerly of the famous Winter Palace Hotel), is an Egyptian goddess who can and does make anything happen: like my very late checkout 🙏. I was instantly addicted to the welcome drink (a secret recipe) and she ensured that my cravings were sated! I had a luxurious three night stay and would happily return."
"Beware at check in. Check in person initially put us in downgraded room- after stating that he was upgrading the room-(twin beds, no view of river when booking was for king bed river view. ) After getting to tiny twin bed room, I complained and was put in appropriate room which was right across the hall. Hotel is very nice and clean and rest of stay was fine. I would stay there again despite the slimy check in."
"I will 100% stay here when I come back. The palace is CLEAN, QUIET, and BEAUTIFUL. The entire hotel was architecturally beautiful and clean. I was one of a few guests at the hotel and felt/was treated like royalty. The owner is a wonderful, kind, and helpful woman.
The hotel offers a free boat to cross to the east bank which was a blessing. With the hotel being on the West Bank, there is little noise at night meaning you can hear all the sounds the Nile has to offer.
Absolutely wonderful hotel - one of the best I’ve stayed at around the world."
