The Hampton Inn at the Lyon Airport was a perfect place to sleep off our day 1 jet lag. It is attached to the airport. We walked over, no need for a shuttle. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. The breakfast that came with the booking was ample. There was also dinner available the evening we checked in. It was not great, but it was fine after a long day of travel.

This hotel is a very new ultra-modern hotel attached to both Saint-Exupery train station and Lyon airport. Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff all very friendly. A nice bar area as well as a restaurant with a limited menu but food was good. Complimentary breakfast had lots of variety.

Hotel is nice but it isn’t possible to open windows. I don’t recommend the food in the restaurant. We were woken up at 2.30 a.m by fire alarm. Somebody probably smoked. Because we were supposed to get up at 4.00 a.m, it made our night much shorter. So it influenced our experience a lot.

Very convenient to/from Lyon Airport (located in Terminal 2). Check-in was fast. Staff are friendly (for French people lol). Fitness Centre was well equipped for a quick workout and had a water fountain plus towels available. Room was small but sufficient. Very clean. Bed was a bit hard though. Room was very hot at night though, was not easy to change the temperature. It was at 25.5 degrees celcius and only went down to 24.5 degrees!!! It was boiling in there. Breakfast was plentiful. Would suggest they offer already boiled eggs please so people aren’t waiting for them to boil themselves.
