"The staff were so friendly and helpful and my room was superb-huge, clean and quiet. I wish I had spent more time at the outdoor roof garden as it had comfy chairs and tables and amazing views. The breakfast was really varied and restaurants very good too. The hotel was also in an excellent location for airport and walking to the Souk Waqif, incredible museums, Corniche and hop on and hop off bus. "

"Planned as stopover in Doha on route to SE Asia. Cancelled the booking well over a month beforehand due to the war in the Middle East - we were rerouted to Kuala Lumpa to avoid the conflict but hotel refused to refund the cost despite government advice not to travel to the region and plenty of notice. Not really the action of a 5 start hotel. All other bookings we made for this trip were incredibly accommodating."

"I was staying at the hotel during Ramadan, so lunch wasn’t available at the hotel. I ordered a cheeseburger through room service that cost about $15 USD, but it didn’t have any cheese at all, and the beef patty was so overcooked that it was burnt. I ate about half of it, but it was so bitter that I ended up throwing the rest away."

"Das Hotel ist großartig, alle Kriterien für einen super Aufenthalt sind bestens erfüllt. Allerdings konnten wir Vieles nicht genießen, weil aufgrund des Krieges USA/Israel-Iran der Strand und die Poolanlagen dauerhaft gesperrt blieben. Das Personal mühte sich redlich, das Essen war fantastisch."

"Grand Legacy hotel is located near the National Museum, the metro statio, the pearl, and the Waqif. The staff was friendly, particularly the gals in the restaurant. Our disappointment was with our room. When we arrived, we noticed the counters and shelves were dusty. The linens on the bed seemed cleaned though. But throughout our stay, we had to constantly ask the front desk to send someone to clean our room, otherwise they would not clean it. On three different occasions we had to ask for...

"Zimmer waren sauber, aber relativ veraltet. Man hat gemerkt, dass das Hotel schon etwas älter ist. Teilweise war die Einrichtung relativ abgenutzt. Ansonsten war alles sehr sauber, frei von Flecken, Bettwäsche und Handtücher wurden auf Wunsch gewechselt. Personal sehr freundlich, wenn man um etwas gebeten hat, wurde sofort alles mögliche versucht, um es zu erfüllen. Kaution war allerdings unverhältnismäßig hoch (800 Euro), obwohl die Unterkunft im Voraus bezahlt wurde. Lage ist ok, allerdings...
