"Such an inviting jungle like retreat! A staff member met us at the train station and walked us to the hotel. The superior suite room was wonderful, especially with the natural hot springs hot tub! Would have liked a little more attention advertised as special services that go along with the room choice. Food was bountiful and tasty! Staff very attentive in the dining room!"

"Tierra viva was probably my favorite hotel in our 12 night honeymoon- i cant recommend it enough. Book room 504 (junior suite), trust me! It has a large balcony overlooking the urabamba river, with a view both up and down the river. "The rooms were. Ice and clean but the proximity to the train station was disturbing in the morning. A good location if they can guarantee the river facing room. Staff was super nice!!!"

"Property has a wonderful view of the river and polite and helpful staff. We only had a minor issue with the towels for our room were very damp and when we requested replacements, those were damp also. This could just have been a one off situation. The Mountain view faces the train tracks and new construction that is underway on the other side of the tracks so try and book River view if it’s available. "

"The view was amazing from our room. They charged me $40 dollars for a late check out. We had 2 rooms. They said that we needed to pay for both rooms. Because if we payed for one room. only 2 people would be able to go in the room. We booked with Expedia. It said free breakfast included. They also charged us for breakfast at the hotel. "

"Irma was the best!!! Since my wife and I got there she made us feel so comfortable. It's not a 5 star hotel but the attention to ensure that you're comfortable beats any 5 star hotel.
