"The elevator was down, we were told that the only room available was on the 3rd floor. When we tried to access the room, it seemed to be locked from the inside. We were then given a room on the first floor. The facility was clean enough. This is a budget establishment, and you get what you pay for."

"Overall, our experience was okay. However, wherever you turn, you notice little things . . . a loose shower handle, exposed nuts/bolts at the base of the toilet, etc. Simple maintenance issues that differentiate a down-at-the-heels hotel from a good property. As for room service, we never broke the code on which days our room might be made up. Better hotels tell you what you might expect at check-in. The hotel breakfast was no better or worse than that offered by the chains. On the plus side,...

"The staff were very kind and the room was spacious and clean. The pool was quite run down and the skimmer wasn’t working as there were a bunch of hairs floating in the pool. (Black hairs, my husband is ginger and I am blonde so it wasn’t ours). One of the pool ladders is loose and when I went to climb out it shifted and I hit my foot and fell back into the pool pretty hard."

"Overall, great hotel: clean rooms and common areas, comfy beds, good water pressure and temperature, effective darkening blinds, plenty of room space, and adequate breakfast offerings. The location is near ISU campus and nice shops and restaurants at easy walking distance. Parking is inconvenient being in a ramp across the street. Not too far away, but be aware of this in poor weather. Positives out weigh any negatives, I would stay here again."

"Not the fault of the facility, lightning had destroyed the elevator control council and the Ice machine on our floor. I am 76 with bad arthritis and don't do stairs well, but there were no rooms available on the first floor. When we got to our room, the toilet would not stop running. "Nice location, plenty of space in the Loft room, and appreciate being pet friendly. The towels need an upgrade as does some of the interior. Breakfast is convenient and daily drink at the Bar is nice."

"The lights were malfunctioning; I asked for them to be changed, but in three days, no one ever came to fix them. Also, the three soap dispensers in the shower are in the way while bathing—it’s very poorly designed; the soap should be on the other side so you can get in easily and shower comfortably.
