Nice resort facing the mountain. It was very quiet during our stay in early March. Don't expect much from its Cafe though, they only have simple stuff like spaghetti, chicken and pork sausages, you need to go out and hunt for food. Nearby, the restaurant Rimm Phi Romm near Mae Rim Plaza is highly recommended. The night bazaar there was also very interesting, but only on Tuesdays.

Hotel rooms were dark and dingy. The shower was terrible with next to no pressure and it kept changing from hot to cold. The television did not have any English channels. The breakfast was pretty average with only a limited selection. The staff were also relatively unfriendly and did not acknowledge you when you were coming and going. I would not recommend this place.

Gostoso, mas muito longe

O hotel é muito agradável e tem bom serviço e comodidades, com ótima arrumação e troca de toalhas e outros itens. A piscina é muito boa, embora falte um espaço melhor para tomar sol (espreguiçadeiras). O café do hotel tem poucas opções e é cobrado a parte. O cardápio de almoço é melhor e a comida, boa. A cozinha fecha cedo e não jantamos. O pior foi a localização, muito distante da cidade, ruim e caro para arrumar transporte. Se a intenção é apenas ficar no hotel, compensa, mas é longe de todo o resto. Perdemos muito tempo e dinheiro nos passeios. Muito tranquilo e sossegado.

Great Spot to unwind

Internet was fast and this place was peaceful and private. Great place to unwind. Make sure to check out Hong Beach for food and drinks across the street.

Unprofessional a manager, bad shower,hot AC.

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere you got to have your own vehicle it's not convenient to walk to anywhere. After we stayed the first night we were gone out all day and got back to the room at night and found out that they never clean up the room. We asked them to move us to a new room and they said they can not because all the room is booked up. We got up early in the morning to check out and saw only a few cars in front of the hotel we very positive that they had the room available last night. When We complain with the manager he said we supposed to hang up the sign in front of the room which no one explain to us.A manager he blemed us it was our fault and he never apologized, he said to us all of the hotels have the sign to hang out for cleaning but we never stayed in the place that we have to notify them to clean our room. He has a smart attitudes, when we said to him it just waste the time to talk to him and we said he will have a negative review on the internet he just say okay like he doesn't care at all and when we walk away to our car and he said right behind us ,thank you for choosing to stay with us and hope you come back again to stay but his voice it very sarcastic. We hope this review make the hotel's owner very proud of this manager! The room C22 was hot AC. no AC in the bathroom at all. The shower fluctuating from hot to cold. If it was the only hotel in Thailand we'd never stay! We would not recommend.

I wanted to give it 5-Stars...

Cool Downs is a lovely little hotel - the room was great, it has a nice pool and little bar... it feels like it's a bit in the middle of nowhere but this just added to its appeal - and whilst not near any bars or restaurants it's very close to some lovely walks and a great waterfall. For all this I would have given it five stars but it let itself down on the service front - the restaurant closed the evening we were there and we were left with nothing to eat which was a massive pain. We also got over-charged for food and for transfers. Then at breakfast the food wasn't great (but the coffee was good!).

Nice Resort and New to Stay At!!

The hotel has a private place and far from the city. So, you should have your own transportation method to be able to go anywhere you would like to visit. However, the breakfast is good but every day you should choose what you would like to have from their limited list. All stuff are good and friendly except one of them who argued about our order for the breakfast and said that "You Order this dish!!" that we did not order and wasn't expected from her to treat us unprofessionally!!!! Otherwise, everything went good at this place :)

Très belle chambre! Petit Resto typique d'en face très bon! Par contre piscine vaseuse, personnel ne parle pas un mot anglais, loin de tout en pleine cambrousse! Et Resto fermer le soir! Petit déjeuner très moyen!

不會再光顧的酒店

非常之不愉快！ 每房間只供兩人使用，多咗嘅人不能上酒店房間；我們只想上房間看過環境，才決定加床或者加房間。 當日我們六個人，原本只訂了兩間房間，所以他們只能夠讓我們四個人進去房間，其餘兩人需要在接待處等後。我們原本預定加床，但他們的上司、老闆態度十分惡劣... 這間酒店是沒人住的，當日除了我們之外，只有一對情侶居住，地方非常荒蕪，酒店很細小，泳池也很細小，是沒規模的細小酒店，早餐尚可，但服務人員較差

nice hotel but a bit isolated

hotel was clean and tidy, but for most of our stay there was no other guests. the staff were friendly, but english was poor location of hotel isolated, quite far from chiang mai city cab drivers didnt know where it was hotel quite new, still building part of it only served a very limited menu up until 4pm. after this no food was provided, and there were no local restaurants (except for side of the road barbeques and restuarants that looked as if they had been set up in a garage)

Great accommodations in the country

Very lovely staff and room was very upscale modern. I only had breakfast there and it was the best French toast, fruit, coffee, and juice I have ever had! Great chef. I would go back there again should I return to Thailand.
