"Fantastic stay, cottage was beautiful, warm and cosy and the wood fired hot tub was amazing. Host has thought of everything and there are numerous nice touches in the cottage including little torches for the night. No kitchen facilités but plates and cutlery provided so you can get a takeaway and eat it in comfort. Would definitely stay here again "

" We stayed at The Royston for 1 night - I wish it had been a week. Huge rooms, beautifully styled, super clean and with everything that you need to feel at home. "No one in shop or office to report issues to, I txt the owner on Friday morning & they didn’t even open it until after we left on Saturday morning. No bathroom lights working, no outside light by hot tub and no covering over it to protect from weather/trees, so it was not used. No heating for night time so the hut was really cold, it was a good job I took extra bedding. "

So friendly, approachable and even small touch like providing a large bowl of hot crispy roast potatoes whilst watching the Wales vs France rugby wonderful. "Extremely pleasant and accommodating staff. Room was clean and warm as was the en-suite. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of various tea and coffee sachets available in addition to milks and sweeteners etc. Breakfast was freshly cooked to liking. Although I had no problem parking, the car park is small with limited street parking opposite, which potentially could be an issue during busy periods. Overall, staying at The Talbot was an excellent experience. "
