We only stayed one night, which next time I won’t make that mistake lol, so we didn’t have much time there but we definitely enjoyed every minute of our trip. I can’t wait to go back!!! ❤️"
"When you stay at The Pillars, you’re transported to yesteryear, when things were quieter, softer, more genteel than present day. Even the house cats seem relaxed, as they casually study the guests and decide to offer you their welcome. The surroundings, from decor to bed linens are sumptuous, and the overall feeling is one of quiet discovery as you imagine yourself living there in a different century."
"Farrah was wonderful and made it fun. She told us the best places to eat and even took us to the Saloon where the locals like to go listen to live music. This experience was truly like being with friends instead of hotels that just make you feel that you are just an unknown room number."
"We stayed in the Carriage House, which despite being very old did have modern facilities. The air conditioning and shower were very good. The bed was comfortable with nice linen. It was good to have the option to stream films on the TV. We were sent an email from our host with instructions to access the property and park which also gave good recommendations to local restaurants and attractions."
"Absolutely wonderful. Very nice house. Tastefully decorated with a lot of oil paintings and antiques . Coleen was an excellent host. Breakfast was a fruit cup with yogurt, chicken and waffles, coffee and juice. Big and Belle were loving fur babies. Absolutely a 10+."
"I usually don’t do Expedia reviews, but I wanted to for this stay! The young lady at the check in desk was enthusiastic, quick, and seemed genuinely happy for us to be here. The room is very charming and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. We stayed in July, and the AC was comfortable. Haha!
I love that the rooms were arranged around the old house, not in a straight line like a typical hotel. There were charming little sitting areas and a cute outdoor courtyard.

"An absolutely Divine Stay! June was Hot but the charming pool was a refreshing quench at the end of the day. Big beach towels in a cute pool bag were provided in the room for us. The complementary tour of the house was gorgeous! The Garden & Veranda areas were well maintained and in full bloom. Our Hosts were most Gracious & the Ladies of their staff are very attentive, accommodating and just precious, wonderful people. The Douglas room on the 1st floor had easy access to everything. "Wonderful stay every time. Nice staff, very clean and comfortable beds and good AC. Ask for a river view as it’s amazing. Good breakfast. Nice area to walk along the river path and many people do. Felt very safe and pig out inn a short walkable distance was excellent. Beautiful historic homes walkable distance and price is very reasonable. Needs microwave in room but has fridge. Rarely give such a good rating but they deserve it. "
