"The property is dated, and there are some challenges. I was assigned a second floor room (I wasn't asked for a preference) and there is no elevator. However, a very kind cleaning person saw me struggling and carried my suitcase up for me, which was wonderful. Problems in addition to lack of elevator: 1) The key (the old-fashioned kind) didn't always work. 2) The room smelled musty and I had to launder all of the clothes I had brought when I got home, as they had taken on that musty smell. 3)...

"I wake up one day and found myself and my wife unable to shower or do any basic hygiene for 4-5h, there was no running water on premises, they had sent us a under the door note midnight the night before that there’ll be no hot water but next day we had no water at all hot or cold. When I called the front desk, they were very rude and told me there’s nothing they can do,(they could have told me when I reserved or sent an email few days before so I can change my mind if I want or at least provided...

"My favorite thing about the Lucerne Inn is its unpretentious old world charm. It is very conveniently located outside of Bangor. The staff was super friendly. If the swimming pool were heated I may have taken a dip, but I didn’t mind. Having a cocktail on the deck outside and taking in the view was much better than hanging out in a pool, anyway. The food and drink menu had great selections and very well priced - especially considering g we were there at peak season!"
