A really excellent hotel
The stay was really great. The service was excellent and the staff very helpful and service minded. It is a small hotell but despite this the breakfast selection was excellent. The pool was a great plus even if the beach is really close with a few minutes walk. The only downside was the small number of sunbeds. But overall a great place to spend our holiday.

Meget god service!
Hyggelig personale. Spes. utmerket en mann seg i spisesalen som jobbet under alle våre 12 frokoster; han var alltid rask og service-innstilt! Og spisesal spes.; det var "enkelt" satt fram så det var aldri noe som ble "gammelt"; servitør tok opp bestilling på det man ønsket av varmmat :) Herlig opphold.

Hotel Ani was geweldig! Het is een echt boutique-hotel, mooi afgewerkt, modern en erg goed nagedacht over de inrichting en uitvoering. Dit was zeker een van de beste hotels waar ik ooit heb overnacht. De kamer was heerlijk ruim, schoon en goed ingericht. Het balkon was net zo ruim en de badkamer prachtig. De airco was stil maar toch krachtig genoeg, dat zie je vaak anders. Bij het ontbijt ervaarde je de luxe opnieuw, door de uitstekende bediening en heerlijk klaargemaakt warm ontbijt op bestelling. Echt perfect. Ook bij het zwembad was het heerlijk door de fijne zitjes en bedjes en groot zwembad. Het personeel was uitermate vriendelijk, dat maakt het verblijf verder af. Om het af te maken een mooi uitzicht, fijne omgeving en het strand op maar een paar minuten lopen.

Lovely small boutique hotel, nearly new, in excellent location. Built and finished to an extremely high standard with all the latest mod cons offered. Very pleased to be offered a complementary upgrade to a south/pool/sea facing room moving us away from the main road. All the staff a credit to the business. Located 5 mins away from all the activities and 10 mins from town centre. Excellent high end brand toiletries, safe, A/C, digital TV and tea/coffee facilities offered. Car parking on site. Only slight room for improvement is with the breakfast arrangement (very good service but no menu explaining what hot food is offered. When busy long wait for hot food & limited cold buffet items not replaced when depleted). Also, oddly, no in room book detailing the usual tv channels, phone numbers, mini bars prices, hotel hours etc etc.. A lot of guessing until I asked reception for one (oddly still in the process of compiling the information) All in all, excellent hotel and stay. Highly recommended.

Small modern hotel less than 5 minutes walk from the beach. Staff very helpful. Nice breakfast. Small pool and sundeck area. Enjoyed a peaceful four day stay.

Nice modern hotel but beware of parking charges
Stayed for 7 days. Very nice modern clean hotel close to the beach. On our first day we decided to raid the mini bar, we ended up with a £70 bill mainly because the mini bottle of champagne was an extortionate £44 it was only 0.2L ! Ok, we should have checked the price but you don’t expect 2 glasses of bubbly to be this costly ,,,Also felt a bit ripped off by the parking charge of 7 euros per day which we were not made aware of until checking out. Overall , it is a lovely hotel and the staff are very attentive and friendly. We did find Croatia quite an expensive place to go. Eating out, parking and activities are all rather expensive so bear this in mind.

Excellent Hotel near the beach!
Hadn't realised that Makarska is over an hour from Split airport but managed to arrange a reasonable shared cab ride. Wonderful scenery on the journey. On arriving at the hotel I was informed that I was to be upgraded from a standard room to a deluxe which was a nice surprise together with the offer of a glass of champagne! So far so excellent! The room was fantastic - very spacious, fluffy carpet, generous toiletries, balcony where one can smoke if one wants, minibar filled to the brim though I preferred to drink in the hotel bar. Breakfast was mainly Continental and eggs could be ordered on request (omelette, scrambled etc) - more than enough to satisfy. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is an intimate nature to a hotel like this and one can just sit back and enjoy the quality of what it has to offer. No issues with cleaners who did everything there was to do promptly while one was at breakfast. Beachfront is 5minutes away with lots of restaurants to choose from - I finally managed to eat Pasticada, a dish you read about but don't necessarily find in restaurants in other parts of Croatia - there were quite a few restaurants offering it here. All in all, a wonderful stay

Phänomenal / Fenomenalno Ganz neues Hotel, alles extrem sauber, jeder Wunsch wird erfüllt, gesamtes Personal suuuuuper freundlich und zuvorkommend, Frühstück: sehr fein und abwechslungsreich...immer alles da, was man zum Frühstück braucht...sämtliche Eivariationen werden frisch nach Wunsch zubereitet. Es sind ca. 200m zum Strand. Überdachter Parkplatz mit Schranke und Videoüberwachung! Gym 24std. geöffnet! Ganz herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Team vom Hotel Ani. Insbesondere Ana und ihrer Kollegin von der Rezeption und Ivan vom Frühstück. Es war die Beste Entscheidung in dieses Hotel zu gehen. Bästa hotellet!
Ett av det bästa hotellen jag bott på, allt var toppen - rummet, bakongen, utsikten, frukosten, personalen! Liten pool med några solstolar, nära stranden och en kort promenad till hamnen. Bor mer en gärna här igen.

Super fantastisk sted man aldrig glemmer
Service var super fantastisk, hjalp os med alt med. Tjenerer husker de specielle bestillinger som vi bestiller og servere det for os det giver en bonus!! Både stranden, byen og restauranter er tæt på gåtur ca 11 min. Værelset var smukt og alt er nyt og rent Kan varmt anbefales !!

Hotell Ani - jättemysigt litet hotell
Jättetrevligt hotell med ett varmt välkomnande! Personalen var väldigt trevlig och månade om att vi som gäster hade det bra och hjälpte gärna till vid frågor. Hotellet är relativt nyöppnat och ganska litet, vilket vi tyckte var positivt då det troligen bidrar till en lugn och skön atmosfär på hela hotellet. Perfekt för avkoppling under semestern! Trevlig frukostbuffé, inte allt för stor men vägs upp av möjligheten att få nygjorda varma rätter så som ägg, bacon, pannkakor m.m. Vi bodde i ett rum med så kallad delvis havsutsikt - jättemysigt rum med en trevlig liten balkong att sitta och titta på solnedgången från. Hela hotellet upplevdes väldigt rent och fräscht, rummet likaså. Bra wifi-uppkoppling på hotellet. Poolområdet var visserligen mindre än vi föreställt oss men väldigt lugnt och trivsamt. Kan varmt rekommendera Hotel Ani.

Impressive
I was apprehensive about booking as there were no reviews but I am glad I did book this hotel. The Manager met us on arrival and told us they had just opened that day so that explained the lack of reviews! Apparrently it is Markarskas first boutique hotel. After efficient check in we were brought to our room, closely followed by complimentary glasses of champagne to mark the occasion which was a nice touch. I had booked the deluxe double with sea view. It was a narrow but long room with plush carpet, comfortable bed, fluffy towels and bathrobes, modern lighting and air con and lovely toiletries! The balcony was the biggest in the hotel and it looked across the sea and up to the mountains as well as giving a peak at the pool! The main road is just beside the hotel so you can hear heavy traffic but it didn't bother us too much. Breakfast was very good, fresh food and an option to order hot food from the kitchen. The buffet was plenty for us but we did try both the omelette and pancakes which were both good. The guy overseeing breakfast (unfortunately we didn't get his name) was very attentive and seemed to work long hours but remained with a smile on his face! The restaurant was very relaxed and comfortable and opened to the pool area. The prom was just two blocks away. In summary: stylish, comfortable hotel with pleasant efficient staff and good facilities. Very good impression, particularly when it had just opened.
